Meet Dr. Dwight Baker

I am married to Lorraine Charles of Idaho Falls. We have five children: Lucas, Ian, Logan, Alex, and Linley. My favorite pastimes include gardening and working outdoors, running, and doing activities with my wife and our family. We enjoy boating, motorcycling, cycling, tennis, and golf. I have been involved in coaching several of my sons’ football teams through the years and love supporting them and my daughter in all their sports and activities.

I have found many ways to serve within the orthodontic community and am involved in several orthodontic organizations. For a dozen years I have been involved in the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists and am currently serving as president of that society. I have also been secretary and president of the Idaho State Society of Orthodontists. I belong to the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Association, and Alpha Sigma Nu society, and enjoy the opportunity to serve the orthodontic community on a regional and national level.

I am a native of Idaho Falls and love this place. After graduating from Idaho Falls High School, I attended Brigham Young University and chose a profession in the dental field. My dental degree was earned at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and my orthodontic degree from Washington University in St. Louis. After completing my studies in 1988, I came back to Idaho Falls to begin my practice.

It has been a great opportunity for me to share the same office building with my brother Gregg, who is a dentist. We designed and built our office to be a light, cheerful, and comfortable place for us, our staff, and our patients to enjoy. We chose a railroad theme, with a G-scale train that runs throughout the entire office. The train is fun for patients and parents alike.
